Events

  • Click Events on the left hand side menu
  • If there are no events coming up then you will be greeted with a fairly blank page
  • Select All events from the drop down menu and click FilterScreen Shot 2015-11-11 at 11.18.23
  • Now you will see all of your events even if the date has passed
  • To add an event click ‘Add new’ under Events on the left hand menu
  • Enter the name of the event and the date and times
  • The next few options are not neccessary
  • Enter the location of the event. If you want to be very accurate then enter the longitude and latitude. You can find these by visiting www.latlong.net
  • Each time a new location is added it adds it to the library of locations which can be viewed by selecting Locations from the left hand menu
  • When adding a new event start typing the name of the location and a list of previously saved location will appearScreen Shot 2015-11-11 at 11.42.06
  • Select the location from the list and the rest of the fields will fill in automatically
  • Add more details about the event in the editor below
  • You can also set a featured image
  • In the right hand column you will see some further options
  • If the event needs to be booked or paid for, select ‘Enable registration for thid event’ under RSVP
  • This will expand the panel showing more options
  • Enter the number of spaces/tickets there are
  • Enter the price of the ticket
  • Enter the max number of spaces/tickets that a customer can buy and the minimum (usually 1)
  • Tick Paypal under the payment options
  • Select the category that the event belongs to: Conferences, Courses, Lectures
  • Click Save or Update at the bottom of the page
  • To view the event go the Events on the front end or go back to the list of all events and click View event:Screen Shot 2015-11-11 at 11.34.22
  • When somebody books a place or buys a ticket an email will be sent to info@squiggle-foundation.org
  • Also the order will be stored in the events section
  • You can see who has booked the event on the right hand side of any event and you can export these contacts as an spreadsheet
  • Alternatively you can select People on the left hand side which will show everyone who has ever booked an event and what they have booked
